15 members of staff at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, their family and their friends abseil Liverpool Cathedral and raise £3,940 for a better tomorrow
Smashing their individual targets, the brave abseilers raised over £3,940 to support our specialist mental health and community services across Cheshire and Merseyside. Staff from our Knowsley Childrens Care Admin team in Manor Farm PCRC successfully completed the abseil and raised £1,190 as a team. They said:
"it was a very exciting day and daunting to abseil 150 feet, but all successful and pleased with our success."
Senior Charity Fundraising Manager, Joanne Watson said:
“We're really pleased our first fundraiser for the charity has gone so well - 15 courageous members of staff, family and friends braved the descent of 150 feet down the west door of Liverpool Cathedral and raised almost £4,000 together to help us fund more projects to meet the needs of our communities. I'm really looking forward to our next challenge!"
The Mersey Care NHS Charity are fundraising for a better tomorrow, to continue to bring to life projects outside the scope of the NHS that serves the health needs of our communities, challenges stigma and helps people live happier, healthier lives.
