Funding the redevelopment of the ZSA's Suicide Awareness Training

The newly updated training has been shaped by valuable stakeholder feedback and funded by NHS Charities Together

We have successfully funded the redevelopment of the Zero Suicide Alliance’s (ZSA) Suicide Awareness Training. This initiative is a key component of the ZSA’s comprehensive online training package and was supported by funding from NHS Charities Together.

The newly updated Suicide Awareness Training, launched on World Suicide Prevention Day in 2024, has been shaped by valuable feedback from stakeholders. The refreshed training includes:

  • Updated introductory information with facts, figures and suicide warning signs
  • Improved look and functionality
  • Newly scripted and filmed scenarios with a buddy to coach you through different types of conversations.

Additional Training in Development

The updated Suicide Awareness Training is just one of three e-learning packages funded by NHS Charities Together. The other two – the redevelopment of ZSA’s existing Social Isolation Training and a newly designed training course for health and care staff – are currently being developed and will be rolled out throughout 2025. These programs aim to educate, empower, and raise awareness to prevent suicide.

ZSA is funded through our charity and any donations made will directly support suicide awareness and prevention efforts carried out by the ZSA.
